I know, you hear it all the time. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
And sometimes, its just so darn hard to eat a good meal in the morning!
I truly believe in the power of a good breakfast. When I eat a good breakfast filled with protein, veggies and fat, and drink 16 oz of water in the morning, my entire day goes better. Your body then has a base of fantastic nutrients to burn throughout the day and anything else you may eat just builds on that base.
The most difficult thing is fitting that breakfast into your morning. Between waking up, getting ready and getting out the door, who has time to sit down and eat, much less cook something?!
The secret is preparation. Spending 20 minutes on a Sunday, making a casserole or a hash that can last throughout the week is time well spent. Once you have the bulk of the cooking out of the way, it take five minutes to re-heat during the weekday. Depending on your style, it’s even easy to throw something like this in a container to bring to the office and heat up there as you start your morning.
